Where did you grow up?

Albury – Nee South Wales (Australia – very rural town).

Education:

I attended The University of Sydney to gain a Bachelor of Education and The University of Technology, Sydney, where I studied Forensic Science.

Your previous role and place of work:

I worked at Swavesey Village College as a Teacher of Physics. Prior to this, I was a Director of Sport in Farnborough and before that a Head of Year 7 in Albert Park (Australia).

What are you most looking forward to about working at King’s Ely?

I am looking forward to the challenge of a new school and teaching Physics in the Sixth Form. I am excited to join the King’s Ely community and help the students achieve in all manners of speaking.

Hobbies/interests outside of school:

I have represented England in Touch Rugby for many years, and have 50 caps for England. I have a passion for Sport and for Touch Rugby in particular, playing to all levels and coaching to a national level. I also play Netball and enjoy long distance running.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

I wanted to be a surgeon or a physiotherapist.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

To fly!

What was the last book you read?

‘Inferno’ by Dan Brown.

What song are you most likely to sing at a karaoke?

Anything from the 90’s!

What is your favourite film?

‘The Shawshank Redemption’.

Do you have any phobias or fears?

I do not like small bugs in large numbers.
