Where did you grow up?

Yeovil in Somerset.

Education:

Maths, Psychology and History A-Levels and then a BA (Hons) History with Education degree at Cambridge University. This was then followed by a Graduate Teacher Programme placement in Somerset.

Your previous place of work and role:

Reception Class Teacher at Wells Cathedral School in Somerset.

What are you most looking forward to about joining King’s Ely?

Working in a strong team with great leadership, meeting the children, staff and parents at Acremont and being part of such a vibrant school.

Hobbies/interests outside of school:

Adventuring with my family in our campervan, visiting new places, beach days, meeting friends, reading, writing books and making creative resources.

Any pets?

Two rabbits (Boris and Doris!) and tropical fish.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

A barrister until I realised I might have to defend people that might be guilty!

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

To fly so I could see the world from above and travel long distances easily.

What was the last book you read?

‘The Descent’ by Matt Brolly.

What song are you most likely to sing at a karaoke?

I Did It My Way!

What is your favourite film?

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Do you have any phobias or fears?

Moths and daddy-long-legs – I can’t stand them!
