Sevenoaks, Kent.

Education:

Sevenoaks School, then BA Hons Drama at the University of Hull.

Your previous place of work and role:

Stephen Perse Pre-Prep as a Year 2 Class Teacher. Prior to teaching though, I was a professional singer/actor for over 25 years playing principal roles in the West End and touring the UK and internationally. Roles included The Phantom and Raoul in Phantom of the Opera, Marius and Enjolras in Les Misérables, The Beast in Beauty and The Beast, Harry in Mamma Mia amongst others.

What are you most looking forward to about joining King’s Ely?

Working at a school that is passionate about Drama, Music and the Arts.

Hobbies/interests outside of school:

Baking bread, walking the dog and cryptic crosswords.

Any pets?

Hector, 2, a wonderful but cheeky Black Labrador.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

A singer or actor or both!

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

I’d love to be able to fly to work and avoid the A14 and A10.

What was the last book you read?

‘Sweet Sorrow’ by David Nicholls.

What song are you most likely to sing at a karaoke?

Delilah!

What is your favourite film?

‘It’s a Wonderful Life’.

Do you have any phobias or fears?

Peach skin (bit weird!).

Name three things you would want with you if stranded on a desert island for a week:

A good bottle (case?!) of red wine, a nice cheeseboard and a tricky crossword.
