Few details about your career/professional life:

I am an accountant working with privately owned and family businesses. Having trained and worked in Cambridge for 20 years, I now run an office in Peterborough.

What are you most looking forward to about being a Governor at King’s Ely?

I’m really looking forward to learning how King’s Ely creates and sustains a supportive school community.

Hobbies/interests outside of school:

My two teenage children, two dogs and helping to run our community pub that the village bought four years ago. All of this keeps me busy outside of work.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

A teacher – I was discouraged by my mother who was a teacher!

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

To hear people’s thoughts.

What was the last book you read?

‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ by Delia Owens. When I drove to work everyday I tended to listen to books in the car.

What song are you most likely to sing at a karaoke?

Definitely Dancing Queen!

What is your favourite film?

It has to be a Christmas film wrapped up on the sofa – ‘The Holiday’.

Do you have any phobias or fears?

Snakes and clowns with masks.

Name three things you would want with you if stranded on a desert island for a week:

Tea bags – I am not sure I could do without my morning cup of tea,
A note pad and pen – does that count as one?
My dog walking hat.
