Where did you grow up?

I was born in Cambridge and moved to Tanzania before coming back to live in Waterbeach, near Cambridge, when I was three.

Education:

St Mary’s School Cambridge, Hills Road Sixth Form College and the University of Leeds for a BSc in Sustainability and Environmental Management.

Your previous place of work and role:

I have worked at Select English in Cambridge for the last three summers at their summer school for EFL students, working in various roles including Activities Coordinator, Social Organiser and House Manager.

What are you most looking forward to about joining King’s Ely?

I’m excited to meet lots of friendly people, to become part of the King’s Ely community and to make sure students at Priory are comfortable in their home from home.

Hobbies/interests outside of school:

I love finding and trying out new and exciting recipes, especially if they are healthy and veggie/vegan, unfortunately they don’t all turn out great! I have also recently enjoyed playing tennis over lockdown and hope to keep this up.

Any pets?

Not yet, but I would love a dappled Miniature Dachshund!

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

I wanted to be a fairy, then a vet.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

To travel through space and time.

What was the last book you read?

‘The Tattooist of Auschwitz’ by Heather Morris.

What song are you most likely to sing at a karaoke?

I wouldn’t normally sing, but if you’re lucky (or unlucky) you might hear me sing ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ by Queen.

What is your favourite film?

The Guardians of the Galaxy, I love Groot!

Do you have any phobias or fears?

I’m terrified of spiders.

Name three things you would want with you if stranded on a desert island for a week:

My glasses, a fluffy blanket and a book.
