Full name:

Annika Hakansson

Where did you grow up?

Helsingborg in Southern Sweden.

Education:

I studies for my GCSEs in Sweden, as well as Media Studies, and then did an A Level in Photography when I moved to London.

Your current role at King’s Ely and how long you have been a member of staff here:

I have been Receptionist at King’s Ely Junior for more or less 5 years now.

What do you enjoy most about working here?

I think I might have the best job in the school – I love it! King’s Ely is a great place to work. I have really lovely colleagues and the kids are fantastic and lots of fun.

Hobbies/interests outside of school:

I love running, seeing my friends and family, reading and doing lots of crafts.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

I wanted to be in Fame! Or join the circus! And a helicopter pilot.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

Flying of course – imagine how amazing that would be!

What was the last book you read?

‘Armadale’ by Wilkie Collins.

What is your favourite film?

Anything by Studio Ghibli!

Do you have any phobias or fears?

On the whole, I worry a lot about the state of the planet and what we are leaving future generations, and Brexit obviously since I am a European. Oh, and not forgetting harvest spiders!

Name three things you would want with you if stranded on a desert island for a week:

The full collection of Sherlock Holmes books,
My heating blanket because I am ALWAYS cold (but would I have anywhere to plug it in?!),
My crochet needle and wool because Mrs Whymark is trying to teach me how to crochet and I could have a week of practicing in peace!
