WHAT a huge success our exhibition was at the Knitting and Stitching Show at London’s Alexandra Palace.

A record 30,000 people attended this year’s event, held over four days, meaning our A Level Fashion and Textiles students got to showcase their designs to a heck of a lot of people!

Director of Art at King’s Ely Senior, Alison Rhodes, is delighted with how well the exhibition went. She said: “The Knitting and Stitching Show is hailed as being one of the best Textiles exhibitions in Europe.

“Our students were invited to exhibit in the Textiles Gallery which provided a wealth of valuable contacts. Students were able to investigate new materials and make contact with lots of professional designers.

“So many people were genuinely overwhelmed by the quality of our students’ work and it was such an invaluable opportunity to promote the many strengths of our school.”
