Our Girls’ and Boys’ Tennis Teams had a brilliant 2023 season!
Teams of U12s through to U18s represented the school, and we played in matches against The Perse, Wymondham College, St Mary’s School Cambridge, Royal Hospital School, Arthur Mellows Village College, Peterborough School, Swavesey Village College, Gresham’s School, Wellingborough School, and Stephen Perse Foundation.
Both our Senior and U15A Girls’ Teams remained unbeaten!
At the start of the Summer Term, all students participated in the local round of the ‘Play Your Way To Wimbledon’ competition. Tia Glenister and Disa Hellyer won the school round and went on to represent King’s in the county round, while Faruk Bagci and David Sharff competed in the boys’ doubles. Impressively, Tia and Disa ended fourth in the county round. Faruk and David also played well, winning three of their four matches.
Both our Girls’ and Boys’ Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) Teams at Years 7/8 and Years 9/10 won their respective Division 2 league. The LTA matches consist of both single and double matches.
Lots of fixtures won and, most importantly, heaps of enjoyment had – well played everyone!
