ANOTHER friendly internal sports fixture organised before the end of term saw our 1st Boys’ Hockey Team taking on the 1st Girls’ Hockey Team!

Chanré Bond, Head of Girls’ Games at King’s Ely Senior, said: “It was an exciting and tense match from the start, with the girls capitalising on early possession. Rosie Ringer scored a cracking goal from the top of the goal circle, flying past the keeper at the top corner. The boys liked the pressure and after a couple of chances managed to get the equaliser.

“The second half saw much of the possession in favour of the boys, which led to their second goal of the match. Billy Pinto scored twice for the boys. The girls fought back and created several chances but were unlucky not to score.

“I would like to say a big thank you to Will Taylor and Emily Pluck for the amazing job they have done as Hockey Captains over the past year. Thank you and well done everyone!”
