THE Dean of Ely, Mark Bonney, visited King’s Ely this week to present our Principal, Sue Freestone, with some Ely Cathedral roses.

The roses are a welcome addition to the gardens of the Old Palace and are a reminder of the close links between the school and Ely Cathedral.

The Ely Cathedral rose has been produced by award winning East Anglian rose growers, Peter Beales, who are specialist propagators of new blooms and have won many prestigious awards, including 24 Gold Medals at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, where the rose was officially unveiled by celebrity garden designer, Diarmuid Gavin.

Anyone interested in purchasing an Ely Cathedral rose can do so from the Ely Cathedral Gift Shop.
