YEAR 11 students from King’s Ely Senior could be found exploring the East Cambs Careers and Skills Fair at Ely Cathedral.

The annual event, now in its fifth year, enables students to meet potential employers and learn about different career prospects after leaving school.

Representatives from a whole host of companies and organisations were present at the fair on October 9th, including everything from the Royal Navy to global bank chains. G’s Fresh, the University of Cambridge Museums, Anglia Water, Tesco, Thorlabs and the British Racing School were just some of the organisations present.

The fair was sponsored by The Network for East Anglian Collaborative Outreach, Thorlabs, West Suffolk College, Enterprise East Cambridgeshire, The Employability Partnership, Shearline Precision Engineering Ltd and Tesco.

Enterprise East Cambridgeshire also launched a new Apprenticeship Hub at the event, a website designed to connect local employers, apprentices and training providers.
