Our Tennis-loving Prep and Senior students were able to improve their skills with former Davis Cup Champion, Dominic Inglot.

Dominic, also known as ‘Dom the Bomb’ due to his powerful serve, visited 10is Academy Ely here at King’s on Saturday, September 9th.

Pupils and staff were invited to join forces with non-King’s members of the club to reap the benefits of various Tennis clinics with Dominic, all of which went down a storm!

A doubles specialist, Dominic made his debut in the GB Davis Cup Squad for the 2014 World Group first-round tie against the US. He also played in the 2015 Davis Cup first-round tie against the US, and joined the team for the final against Belgium, GB winning the Davis Cup in 2015, the nation’s first success in the tournament for 79 years.

Sebastien Scaux, Director of 10is Academy Ely, said: “Dominic’s dedication to helping our players reach their full potential was simply awe-inspiring. It was such a treat to witness the incredible skills and passion he brought to the court.”

Posting on his Instagram account after his clinics in Ely, Dominic said: “Really enjoyed going down to 10is Academy in Ely to help the kids and members develop their skills. What a great group of players and perfect day for it! Hope to come back some day to see the gains in the future.

Thank you for your energy and passion Dominic, and thank you Seb for organising such a special visit!
