THE King’s Barbers are celebrating their 25th anniversary with what promises to be a concert to remember at King’s Ely.

Former members of the hugely popular all-boys a capella group will be joining forces with the group’s current 17 singers for the King’s Barbers 25th Anniversary Reunion Concert.

The musical extravaganza is being held at King’s Ely’s Hayward Theatre on Saturday, March 11th and all are welcome to attend. The King’s Barbers are all former cathedral or college choir choristers and the eagerly-anticipated concert will feature everything from timeless classics to contemporary a capella songs.

Head of Voice at King’s Ely, Peter North, is justifiably excited about the concert. He commented: “When I started the group 25 years ago I had no idea it would take hold as much as it has and become a part of the very fabric of King’s Ely. The main aim was to keep boys singing and to allow them to learn more about performing and just have fun using their voices. We started with four boys and this year we’ve 17 singing. When you see and hear them sing, you can tell they enjoy it. And that’s what makes the Barbers special and working with them so worthwhile.”

The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 for adults and free for children. To book tickets, please call the King’s Ely Box Office on (01353) 653931 or email music@kingsely.org.
