“OUR son, Peter, joined King’s Ely for Sixth Form. He was welcomed with open arms by both the staff and his peer group. Within weeks we all felt like he’d been at King’s for years!

“In the short time he was at King’s, the school built up Peter’s self esteem and self confidence. The school fully supported his career choice and made sure he had the qualifications to achieve his goals. The small Sixth Form was the perfect, nurturing environment for our son, and we are forever grateful for all the support he received.

“Having achieved great A Level results, Peter gained a place at the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester. After completing his agricultural degree, he was offered a role in a Management Training Scheme with Sentry Farms. At the age of 22, he is currently an Assistant Farm Manager for Sentry, on a farm in Cambridgeshire.

“Our daughter, Polly, is the second of our children to attend King’s. For Polly, we knew that the school’s outstanding Music, Drama and Art Departments would really enable her to flourish. We haven’t been disappointed.

“King’s has navigated its way brilliantly through the global Covid-19 pandemic, keeping all of the wonderful creative aspects of life at school going for the children; orchestras, bands, choirs, musicals, plays, as well as rowing, competitive sports, Ely Scheme and DofE. Polly has thrown herself into everything possible and loved every minute. She was made to feel welcome from the start by a great year group and very supportive and kind staff.

“We are looking forward to the next few years with fewer restrictions but can’t possibly see how Polly can fit anything else in!”
