“OUR son, Jimmy, came to King’s Ely Junior International from Shanghai two years ago.

“Because his mother language was Mandarin and not English, we thought there would be problems and that it would be a good idea for him to start from Year 6. However, Mr Whymark gave us enough encouragement to let Jimmy start from Year 7, which has certainly proven to be the right decision.

“Jimmy’s English has improved so much over the last two years. He found all of his lessons really interesting, and he loved doing experiments in Science and working as a group with other students in Maths.

“Jimmy also loved all the extra-curricular activities on offer at King’s Ely, taking part in nearly every single one on offer. His teachers and friends were all very helpful, in fact Jimmy didn’t want to come back to China at all!”
