“King’s Ely Acremont Nursery was recently rated ‘outstanding’ in all aspects by Ofsted, which certainly did not come as a surprise to us.

“When our 3 year old daughter comes into our bedroom every morning with her uniform in her hand asking if it is time to go to school yet, we know we made an excellent choice of school. Similarly, when we come to collect our 2 year old son, he is always so happy to show us what he has made that day and always gives his teachers a hug goodbye.

“We both work long hours so it’s important to know that we are leaving the kids somewhere they love, which is happy and safe for them. The setting of King’s Ely Acremont Nursery is lovely: the school is in a Georgian country house where the kids can have breakfast together, play in the grounds and have their structured lessons.

“We receive online updates about the children’s learning and development almost every day and, from following this, it is obvious that they are learning so much. Everyday there are lots of activities, their voices are heard and their creativity is encouraged. We like that the school is focused not just on curriculum learning but also on personal development, building friendships and self-expressing: there is a strong focus on sport, drama, art and expression.

“King’s Ely Acremont Nursery strikes a great balance between formal learning and free play. Watching the lessons, it’s immediately obvious that the children are well-behaved and the lessons are structured. The children are very happy and relaxed, and not in an overly strict environment. The staff are always happy to see us in the mornings and our daughter mentions their names all the time, when she is at home she says she would like to show them a dress, a drawing or a toy. The affection is very obvious.

“We only regret that we didn’t have the opportunity to go to a school like this and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone: it is a very happy place.”
