We had a fantastic time welcoming prospective pupils and families to our Years 3-13 Open Day on Saturday (May 13th).

Open Days at King’s are a real team effort, with staff from all over school being involved, as well as pupils of course, many of whom tour our visitors. We love organising events like this, as they not only provide a wonderful opportunity to showcase our campus and facilities, but also the spirit and sense of community for which King’s is renowned.
Saturday’s event had a Caribbean twist to it, with families able to enjoy food such as jerk chicken skewers and spiced pineapple muffins, and Mr Porter-Thaw, our Director of Music, and his Calypso Band did a brilliant job of getting prospective pupils (and grown-ups!) to create some Caribbean tunes!

One prospective family emailed our Admissions Team this message over the weekend: “We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made Saturday’s Open Day such a truly wonderful experience. We all thoroughly enjoyed speaking to the Teachers and hearing such lovely things about the school from our two fantastic guides. We have taken everything into consideration and we all feel that King’s Ely is the perfect environment to allow both our children to excel.”

Another prospective family commented: “We were all absolutely blown away by what we saw on Saturday morning and believe that our daughter would fly in the environment you provide.”
