KING’S Ely Senior student Lucas Hilcenko is taking on the Junior version of the Cambridge Town and Gown 10k later this month.
Lucas, who is in Year 9, wants to raise as much money as he can for the Raymond Nicolet Trust by running the Junior 3km race in Cambridge on Sunday October 20th.
The trust works to enhance the educational prospects of children and students in Serbia and to give them the best opportunities in life.
Lucas, who is also supporting the charity as part of his Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, said: “We all live on the same planet and we should share more effectively all resources to allow everybody to benefit from them, beginning with children. We need to work together to make this world a fairer place for the next generations. Children are the future of every country.”
