KING’S Ely Acremont’s Book Share Afternoon was such a lovely event and it was wonderful to welcome along so many parents, grandparents and family members.

Head of King’s Ely Acremont, Faye Fenton-Stone, said: “Our informal ‘show and tell’ was a wonderful sharing experience and it was a real joy for all of the staff to see and listen to the excited engagement and conversations the children had with their visitors.

“Mrs Freestone and I thoroughly enjoyed our dips into Reception handwriting, Year 1 Adventures in Wonderland and Year 2 Turret and Tiaras! The progress in presentation, stamina and ability were clear to see.

“I was particularly pleased to observe how animated the children were to share their knowledge and understanding, as it shows their pride in the effort they have made and how embedded their learning is becoming. Thank you to all our visitors for taking the time to be part of such a special afternoon.”
