THE King’s Ely Boarders’ Service at Ely Cathedral on the evening of January 14th saw boarding students being invited to experience how prayers are sung and said within the Taizé Community.

The Taizé Community is an ecumenical Christian monastic community in Taizé, Saône-et-Loire, Burgundy, France. It is composed of more than one hundred brothers, from Catholic and Protestant traditions, who originate from about thirty countries across the world.

Chaplain to King’s Ely, Revd Ros Lane, said: “Students were invited to light candles, soak up the spiritual atmosphere they created and be drawn together into a unique experience.”
