YEAR 10 student, John Lau, and Year 13 student, Beth Carberry, led our Avicenna Society discussion on October 8th.

The society is for King’s Ely Senior students who have an interest in the medical and veterinary professions, and discussions/presentations take place each week.

John was proposing that using animals for drug testing was the right thing to do and Beth was opposing. They both presented their debates and students and staff in attendance were able to ask them questions.

The society even met throughout the Summer Term, despite lockdown, coming together virtually instead!
