YEAR 13 leaver, Alexander Edwards, has joined Swansea University to study Economics after achieving the A Level grades he needed this summer.

We had a quick catch-up with Alexander before he started his new adventure:

Alexander, in which year group did you join King’s Ely?

“I joined King’s Ely Senior in Year 9 and joined as a boarder.”

Which University/Institution are you going to and what will you be studying?

“I’m studying Economics at Swansea University.”

What career path do you hope to pursue?

“I’m not exactly sure yet so I’m trying to keep my options open! I’m doing a year in industry in my third year at Swansea, so I hope this will help decide upon which path to choose.”

How do you think King’s Ely prepared you for University life?

“I really gained a lot of independence during my time at King’s Ely, especially during Sixth Form, which I think is a very valuable skill to have at University.”

What will you miss most about King’s Ely and what did you enjoy most during your time here?

“I will miss having small classes and good teachers, as there was always a good atmosphere in all three of my subjects. However, I enjoyed boarding the most out of everything at King’s Ely as the people were such good fun and there was always something going on!”
