“THIS week was full of face-to-face meetings between colleagues and you all. It was a particular pleasure to have a hall full of adults all talking about how the children have begun the year last night at the Years 6-8 Meet the Tutor event. We are already eagerly preparing for next week’s Years 3-5 Meet the Tutor evening now.

“As well as the events in the hall, our second informal coffee morning took place today in the Monastic Barn – this time for Year 7 children’s parents and carers. If those events weren’t convenient to you this week, there are plenty of others ahead and they will be offered at different times of day to try and include the majority of you. Thank you for all your engagement with our initiatives to ensure the most beneficial of home to school partnerships already this term.

“Classlist launched quietly last week and so far has over 200 parents with profiles on it. Please do take a look and hopefully join, in order to enjoy the platform as a vehicle to foster parent to parent connections. Details are attached to our Junior Newsletter mailing.

“Looking ahead to next week, we will be building momentum towards our first major charity fundraising activities this school year. The triathlons are accessible to all of the children and we are keen to see anyone who wishes to participate getting involved through their Houses. Printed sponsorship forms are available from Annika Hakansson’s desk and so please remind the children that they can collect one there if they don’t wish to print one at home.

“In the meantime, we send our best wishes to all of you for the busy weekend ahead.”
