“IT has been a breath of fresh air to have pupils back in school this week. The return has not been without its challenges, not least the requirement to test approximately 700 pupils three times in the space of a week. However, this has served to demonstrate King’s at its very best.

“We have been impressed by the pupils with their calm and methodical approach, but this logistical operation would not have been possible without wide ranging support from all areas of the school community.

“The Medical Team led the way but were supported by the administrative staff, domestic and catering teams, maintenance, custodians, grounds and gardens, and teachers throughout the three days of mass testing. Many took on roles that I am sure they had never imagined. We are incredibly fortunate to have an outstanding team of people willing to roll their sleeves up (quite literally at times) to get the job done.

“We also appreciated your role as parents in ensuring your children attended last Friday for the first test. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone across the whole school community; I hope we never have to do it again!

“All the very best.”
