“WITH a spring in our step, big smiles and lots of animated conversation, our short week got underway wonderfully yesterday. Teachers were very pleased with the way the children skipped happily into class and quickly immersed themselves into the rhythms and routines of the day.

“Introductions to topic work have already begun and teachers will send out their Lent Term curriculum letters to you next week. These plans have been designed to be flexible should we, at any point, receive guidance to move to remote learning.

“Whilst it was a very frosty start yesterday, children eagerly put their wellies on and were running around the field at playtimes. They caught their breath for a short time on our newly installed ‘Friendship Bench’ and then they were off again! We plan to gather in Assembly on Monday to discuss, as a community, how the Friendship Bench will be used, and this will complete the journey from a manifesto request, through to the delivery of this project. With the help of a very kind donation, this has been a lovely achievement generated by and benefitting the children. I hope this will inspire children as we prepare for this term’s School Council elections in the next few weeks.

“I wish you a relaxing and recharging weekend before we jump into a full week of learning and activities next week.”
