“Whoever believes that a term slows down as you near the end, simply has not been in school for a very long time! We have charged to the finish line with such a flurry of highlights and memorable moments that it all feels like quite a whirl!

“We concluded the Pre-Prep week with our End of Year Service in the Cathedral, and this was a time to come together as a community and applaud your children for the excellent year that they have made the very most of. From impressive learning to thoughtful debate, from muddy garden days to trips to the beach and London, and all our wonderful exploits in between, our Acremont children have truly embraced the energy, creativity, resilience, and collaboration that we often talk about.

“Not to be outshone, Nursery 2 took part in their own leaving celebrations on Friday morning, as they performed to their families. All that is now left is to say a fond farewell to our Year 2 children as they move on to King’s Ely Junior, and as everyone moves up to the next floor, so space is made for our Nursery 2 children to take their place in the Reception classes in September. To those children who are moving away from King’s Ely, thank you for your time with us and good luck on your onward adventures.

“It will soon be time to hand the keys over to the builders as they begin their summer of refurbishment in Pre-Prep. In addition, we also look forward to the construction of the Round House in the back garden, which will make a stunning addition to our outdoor space.

“I could not sign off for the summer without expressing my sincere thanks to our parents, children, and staff, who have all contributed generously, tirelessly, and with such a sense of fun to this fantastic year. I wish you all a restful and happy time through the relaxing weeks that lay ahead of us, whether abroad or closer to home, as we refresh and re-energise. And so, until we come together again in September, happy holidays!”
