FORMER Ely Cathedral Boy Chorister, Tristan Harding, is heading to the University of Exeter to study Classics after achieving a superb set of A Level results.

Tristan, who is from Littleport and joined King’s Ely in Year 5, achieved an A* in Music, an A in Religious Studies and a B in Latin.

Tristan, who was Deputy Head of School this year, said: “I am delighted with my results and I am really looking forward to university now. I have been at King’s Ely for many years as I joined King’s Ely Junior in Year 5, so I am certainly going to miss the school however.

“The opportunities I have been given at King’s Ely have been vast. I have loved getting involved with lots of extra-curricular activities, including Rowing and Badminton, but the Music has been a particularly big part of my life here.

“Being Deputy Head of School has taught me so much about leadership and how important it is to listen to others; skills which I am sure will stick with me as I move onto the next chapter of my life.

“I would like to thank everyone at King’s Ely for their guidance over the years, particularly the Sixth Form teachers and staff, who certainly went the extra mile to support me with my A Level studies and university applications.”
