SIX of our A Level Drama students took to the Black Box Studio stage on the evening of June 27th to perform in their Component 2 practical examination piece, ‘Fifteen’.

Based on the docu-novel ‘Picking Cotton’, Orlando Squires, Francesca Bisson, Grace Curcio, Joshua Jackson and Tabitha Udy gave outstanding performances, reaching the top bands in the marking criteria.

Alex Hood designed the lighting and created some extremely atmospheric moments in the play, enhancing the emotional turbulence of the piece.

Director of Drama and Theatre at King’s Ely, Nick Huntington, said: “Inspired by Frantic Assembly, the performances were emotionally mature and highly physical – my congratulations go to all involved.”
