WHAT a result for King’s Ely’s 1st XI Hockey girls!

The girls played against Wellingborough School in the second round of the England Hockey Tier 1 Competition on November 8th.

King’s Ely were 4-1 down up until the last 8 minutes of the game, but sheer grit and determination from the girls saw them fight back to win 5-4.

Congratulations to all the girls, and of course Rebecca Daniel for scoring all 5 goals. They now progress to the third round of the competition – a truly outstanding achievement!

Head of Girls’ Games at King’s Ely, Chanre Bond, said: “I am extremely proud of the entire team and the way in which the never gave up. The delight and happiness on their faces after the match was one I will never forget. Well done to all of you, you are a super team!”
