Our Year 2 King’s Ely Acremont Pre-Prep pupils had a fantastic time exploring two of Cambridge’s Museums!

Mr Dean’s and Miss Seymour’s classes visited both The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge and The Museum of Zoology, Cambridge on March 9th.

At The Fitzwilliam Museum, the children learnt how one can best appreciate art, by ‘reading’ paintings and creating stories and poems around them.

At The Museum of Zoology, they soaked up all sorts of fascinating facts about ecosystems, lifecycles, habitats and food chains, including how you can work out some animal’s diets by investigating their teeth.

Trips like this are organised through our extensive co-curricular programme at King’s Ely Acremont Pre-Prep. All trips and visits are carefully planned to complement our dynamic curriculum and to instil a lifelong love of learning.

The children were so inspired by everything that they saw, they asked the museum staff lots of insightful questions, and they behaved impeccably. Well done Year 2s!
