SOME photos from this week’s After School Science Club at King’s Ely Acremont Pre-Prep, where Mrs Miller and some of our Year 2s were investigating how to turn milk into plastic!

The group heated some milk and added white vinegar to it, which caused the milk to separate into solid casein protein and liquid whey.

The children strained the milk using filter paper and sieves, and were then able to dry the solid casein, which dried overnight to form a plastic.

Science Club, Construction Club, Lego Masters, Multi Sports, Chess Club, Forest School, Razzamajazz Recorders – these are just some of the after school clubs and activities available to our Pre-Prep pupils!
