CHANRE Bond, our Head of Girls’ Games at King’s Ely Senior, is travelling to her home country of South Africa today (September 28th) to compete in the World Masters Hockey 2022 World Cup.

Miss Bond, who was born in Cape Town, is representing the England Hockey Women Masters 45s Squad as Vice-Captain.

Miss Bond has been teaching at King’s since 2005. She played for the England Team at the Four Nations Championships in Nottingham in June this year and was crowned the joint top goal scorer in the tournament.

Miss Bond and her team’s first game in Cape Town is on Saturday 1st October against Spain. They will also play against Argentina, Germany, Netherlands and South Africa before the play-offs.
