THESE photos were taken at our Visitor’s Feast in the Monastic Barn on the evening of November 26th.

The formal dinner is held every year after our Admission of Scholars’ Service, and this year both Year 12 and Year 13 Scholars and their families were invited to make up for last year’s event being impacted by Covid.

Guests also included Housemasters, Housemistresses and Tutors of the Scholars; Principal of King’s Ely, John Attwater; Governor at King’s Ely, Anthea Kenna; The Bishop of Ely, The Right Revd Stephen Conway; and The Dean of Ely, The Very Revd Mark Bonney.

As a starter, guests enjoyed sea bass and Brancaster mussels with saffron beurre blanc or pumpkin tortellini with chestnuts and sage as the vegetarian option. The main was 28-day aged fillet beef with oxtail croquette, celeriac puree, cavolo nero and wild mushroom jus, or porcini mushroom wellington with black garlic and thyme as the vegetarian option.

Dessert was mango and passion fruit delice with passion fruit curd and mango sorbet, which was followed by a local cheese collection with crackers, followed by coffee and truffles.

Thank you to everyone who made the evening such a wonderful occasion!
