We are going to be walking from Cambridge to Ely to raise money for Hope4Malawi – and we would like YOU to join us!

The scenic 16-mile riverside walk is being held on Sunday, March 24th and all members of our school community can take part – students, families, staff, Old Eleans, governors, etc.

The ramble is being organised by Mrs Hayley Pienaar, Mr Paul Lott, and members of our Sixth Form Charity Committee.

The plan is to walk from Cambridge to Ely, along The Cam and The Ouse, having caught the 8.57am train from Ely Station to Cambridge North Station.

The cost to take part in the walk is £12 per child and £20 per adult, with all entry fees going towards our campaign to raise £20,000 to build a new classroom at our link school in Malawi, through the Hope4Malawi charity. The fantastic news is that we are already half way to achieving this target, with our fundraising total now at over £10,000!

In a country where only 15% of children complete secondary school, this new classroom will have a significant impact on the local community. By providing access to education, we want to help families rise out of poverty and break the cycle of hardship, where many people survive on only £1 a day.

Everyone from Nursery, Pre-Prep, Prep, Senior and Sixth Form can get involved!
