We are excited to announce that King’s Ely student, Cate Kerr, has been shortlisted in this year’s Horse & Hound Awards!

Cate, who is in Year 9 at King’s Ely Senior, is in the running to receive the ‘Tommy Hilfiger Equestrian Young Rider of the Year’ prize – and it is now down to members of the public to decide who wins.

Cate, who is from the Newmarket area, has been a force to be reckoned with for quite some time now, but 2021 was her strongest year to date. She made Horse of the Year Show history by winning the 128cm Championships with her beloved pony, Dunbarover IV, for two consecutive years. The dynamic duo then went on to win at The London International Horse Show 2021.

Thousands of nominations were received in this year’s Horse & Hound Awards, and Cate is now one of four people shortlisted to win Young Rider of the Year.

Votes close on October 27th and the winners will be announced at Cheltenham Racecourse on November 30th.
