THREE of our International students, Vincent Cheung, Joe Zhou and Faruk Bagci, enjoyed a general knowledge quiz with students from Gresham’s School and Royal Hospital School before the end of term.
The quiz was held online for obvious reasons, and is organised each year as part of our International pupils’ ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) learning.
Melanie Franklin, Head of ESOL at King’s Ely, said: “Students answered questions on very diverse subjects, from flags and countries to mystery objects and film theme tunes!
“Vincent’s knowledge of flags was outstanding (especially at 01:00 Chinese time!) and after a fantastic effort by all, King’s Ely came first with 47 points, followed by RHS with 45 points and Gresham’s with 41 points. Well done everyone!”
