OUR Senior Girls’ Tennis Team – Georgia Shields, Disa Hellyer, Kendle Putter and Francesca Stevens – have made King’s Ely history by competing in the Finals of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) Schools Years 11-13 Autumn League.

Although the girls did not win in London on March 10th, they were on fantastic form, it was an amazing experience for them, and we are very proud of their achievements.

Chanre Bond, Head of Girls’ Games at King’s Ely Senior, said: “All four girls gained so much from this experience and they can be extremely proud of their achievements, both on the day and in the matches leading up to the Finals.”

Georgia, Disa, Kendle and Francesca have been playing tennis together since being at King’s Ely Junior and they have remained unbeaten as a team since Year 7! The girls made the Finals after beating Framlingham College 10-7 in the knock-out stage of the league here at King’s on February 28th.

Congratulations to Eastbourne College, Bradfield College and Wycombe Abbey for also reaching the Finals – and to Wycombe Abbey for winning!
