IF we had to choose three words to describe our annual Senior House Rowing (Indoor) Competition they would probably be ‘noisy’, ‘teamwork’ and ‘sweaty’!

The eagerly-anticipated event took place in the Hayward Theatre on March 7th and it saw boys and girls in Years 9-13 clocking up as many metres as they could on static rowing machines in a 15-minute relay – all to win vital points for their Houses.

The winners were:

Year 9 and 10 Boys – Osmond House
Year 9 and 10 Girls – Withburga House
Year 11-13 Boys – Wilkinson House
Year 11-13 Girls – Withburga House

Some participants were medal-winning rowers, whereas some had never even been on a static rowing machine before. In true King’s Ely fashion, every student gave it their all. Well done everyone!
