Twenty-five King’s Ely Senior students spent the first weekend of half term completing the Training Expedition for their Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

The Year 10 pupils and four staff members – Mr Wyndham-Smith, Mr Humphry, Miss Mortimer and Mr Scarborough – headed to Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for three days of walking and navigation, and two nights of camping.

The weather was glorious and the students all did brilliantly. They will continue to complete the Volunteering, Physical and Skills sections of their Silver DofE Award, as well as prepare for their Assessed Expedition in Derbyshire at the end of term!
