WE are loving our outdoor education programme, Ely Scheme, being back!

These photos show some of our Year 9 King’s Ely Senior students practising their pioneering skills. Outdoor education at King’s Ely offers students in Years 9-13 the chance to learn self-reliance, teamwork, creative thinking and a determined attitude to all tasks in life.

Our unique Ely Scheme programme is facilitated by specially selected and trained Pupil Instructors, who deliver our activities and learn to become exceptional leaders. From guiding pupils up mountain rock faces in Spain to running them down rapids in the French Alps, all of our trips and expeditions are run from within the Ely Scheme, meaning that each individual’s abilities and skills can be monitored carefully to guarantee a tailored programme of independent learning.
