Professional stage, film and television make-up artist, Alexandra Vlcek, visited King’s to deliver our second ‘Senior Theatre Masterclass’ of the term.

Alexandra, who has worked on lots of exciting movies and shows, including ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Gangsters, Guns and Zombies’, showed students in Years 9-13 how to use stage make-up to make actors and actresses look old, dirty or ghostly.

Mr Beeton, our Director in Residence, made a great model for the session. Students then unleashed their creativity on each other! The group were also able to ask Alexandra lots of questions about her work and experiences in the industry.

The skills learnt during this masterclass will come in very handy for the Make-up Team involved in our fast-approaching Senior production of ‘A Christmas Carol’, which is being staged in the Hayward Theatre from Thursday, December 7th to Saturday, December 9th.
