VISITING actor Nick O’Brien from the ‘Stanislavski Experience’ hosted King’s Ely’s Senior Theatre Masterclass on October 3rd.

The session kicked off by introducing Stanislavski’s system with exercises about objective, that saw students rushing to grab a pen and noting that rush of adrenaline.

The evening moved on to practical exercises about action, given circumstances and possibly the most exciting – invisible rays, where the students were able to pass information to one another telepathically!

Arts Award Coordinator and Teacher of Drama at King’s Ely, Laura Dixon, said: “The whole evening was great fun and an excellent learning opportunity about one of the key theatre practitioners, whose system is studied all over the world. The next Theatre Masterclass will be on October 17th focusing on improvisation and storytelling – a fun and exciting, action-packed two hours with Claire Sundin.”
