WHAT a superb Soapbox Race we had on June 22nd!

The annual event, now in its third year, sees King’s Ely Junior students battling it out on the tracks. The theme for the karts this year was ‘endangered species’ and there were some wonderful masterpieces created by the students and staff.

Congratulations to ‘Blue Whale’ (driven by Erin) for winning! ‘The Meg’ (driven by Freddie) and ‘Foolscapsize’ (Max) came second and third, respectively.

As ever, the stalls, barbecue, refreshments and games really contributed to the fun atmosphere – and furthermore, £1,300 was raised for the school’s charities.

Thank you to all the students, staff and families who made 2019’s Soapbox Race a day to remember!
