KING’S Ely Sixth Form student Francesca Bisson was victorious at the ‘Constellation of Talents Festival’ in Moldova just before half term.

Francesca, who lives in Ely, was encouraged to participate in the competition by her contemporary singing teacher, Liuba Doga, who is based in Cambridge.

The festival, hosted by the UNESCO Club ‘Moldova and its National Minorities’, was held to unite children and young people from across the world in vocals, choreography, artistic word, instrumental art, circus art and modelling.

Francesca, who is well-known among the King’s Ely community for her beautiful singing voice having appeared in many concerts and productions (Jesus Christ Superstar and Merchant of Venice for example!), was on top form in the competition and was awarded first place in her age category (ages 16-20).

The event was broadcast live on Moldova television and Francesca was also selected to sing in Romania and Israel as a result of winning her category.

Congratulations Francesca, we are all super proud of you!
