CONGRATULATIONS to the cast and everyone involved in this week’s outdoor production of ‘Pride and Prejudice’!

After months of rehearsals and several hurdles to overcome, our resilient cast of Year 9 and 10 students brought Jane Austen’s beloved story to life in the beautiful Old Palace Gardens on Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

The show was adapted and directed by Alexandra Moxon, with choreography by Natasha Hobbs.

Miss Moxon said: “The cast excelled in their outdoor production! It is not often in the making of a piece of theatre that you face so many challenges – from an unexpected lack of rehearsals to bad weather concerns in July! They faced every challenge that came their way in an incredibly mature and resilient manner, and none of these set backs were evident in their successful final performances.

“Each cast member, be that ensemble or principal role, brought an energy and confidence to the piece, demonstrated exceptional characterisation and maintained a clear focus throughout. It was a real privilege to work with such a fantastic cast and I hope they will miss rehearsals just as much as I will. A huge congratulations to them all, I am so proud of the show they created.”
