MRS Strudwick’s Reception Enrichment Group were in their element exploring the exterior of Ely Cathedral!
The children got right up close to the ‘Ship of the Fens’ to appreciate its size and scale, and also learned some interesting facts about the Cathedral, including how old it is and how long it took to build.
Mrs Strudwick said: “We looked at the gargoyles, turrets and other features that the children spotted. Then we went round to the back and sat on the grass to sketch the Lady Chapel and end of the Cathedral. The children were completely absorbed in the task!”
