Congratulations to King’s Ely Prep pupil, Raffi, for achieving a Gold medal at the Eastern Regional Schools Judo Championships!
Raffi represented both King’s Ely and Ely Dojo in the Year 6 and Year 7 Girls Under 36-kilograms group. Her stellar performance means she has secured a place at the National British Schools Judo Championships, which are being held in Sheffield in March.
Raffi trains weekly at Ely Dojo and her lead instructor is Stuart Aldous. Mr Aldous said: “Raffi did fantastically well and it was so great to see her on the podium at the end of the day, taking the Gold medal for King’s Ely! Raffi has now qualified to attend the National British Schools Championships at the Institute for Sport in Sheffield. It is exciting to support Raffi on her judo journey, and we all look forward to seeing where this takes her next.”
