KING’S Ely Junior’s Digital Leaders were treated to a pizza party on June 25th as a way of thanking them for all their hard work this academic year.

They have worked tirelessly to promote digital and online safety among fellow pupils and staff, attended a Digital Safety Conference and hosted two Digital Picnics for school families.

Head of Computing and Digital Innovation at King’s Ely Junior, Dan Everest, who organised the pizza party, said: “The party was also tinged with a little sadness as our Year 8 Digital Leaders will be leaving us to move up to King’s Ely Senior or pastures new in a couple of weeks’ time.

“The Year 8 Digital Leaders have been involved with the programme since it started and have taken centre stage on many occasions. One of this year’s highlights was when the Year 8’s ran a whole school assembly on Safer Internet Day.

“I am looking forward to September when our new Year 7 and 8 students will have the opportunity to apply for the Senior Digital Leaders Curriculum and the enrolment of some new Digital Leaders in Years 4-6.”
