OLWEN Davies – performer, writer and co-founder of LaPelle’s Factory Theatre Company – returned to King’s Ely on October 14th evening to work with some of our Year 11-13 Drama students.

After a successful Theatre Masterclass here a couple of weeks ago with pupils in Years 9 and 10, Olwen led a Masterclass on story exchanges, developing confidence when performing alone and the contemporary performance practices of many influential experimental companies and artists.

Alexandra Moxon, Director in Residence at King’s Ely, said: “The group were focused and displayed real skill when performing versions of themselves, as opposed to more traditional theatrical characters. We also debated what was considered ‘art’ and ‘performance’ and where performance and life’s lines blur.”

Thank you for your time again Olwen!
