CONGRATULATIONS to Helen Melville, who has completed her mammoth running challenge in aid of the Royal British Legion!

Helen, one of our Geography Teachers, set herself the task of running 100 miles throughout November to raise as much money as she could for the charity.

Helen, who lives in Downham Market, Norfolk, completed her challenge on November 27th and, to date, has raised more than £1,400 in sponsorship.

She said: “I really enjoyed the challenge and once I was in the swing of it, it wasn’t too onerous! Most of the runs I did were 5-6 miles with a couple that were a little longer, including the 11.11 miles around six of my local war memorials.

“I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has made a donation to the Royal British Legion through my page. The charity needs our support more than ever this year and it’s amazing to be sending over £1,400 to them.”
